Known for his appreciation of diverse food cultures and modern cookery, he has an accomplished culinary background that includes extensive travel in South East Asia, where he grew up. Kevin Hughes combines passion and enthusiasm for teaching with adept technical skill and an affinity with the heritage and flavours of the Yorkshire Dales.

Kevin brings six years’ of teaching experience to the role, latterly working as Chef Lecturer at Leeds City College. His cookery accolades include Second Place in the UK South Asian Chef Competition and First Place in the North East Culinary and Trade Association (NECTA) Chef Team Competition, both in 2015.
